Dr. Vodder's name and the name of his method : Lymphatic Drainage are broadly misused by numerous insufficiently trained and unauthorized practitioners and instructors. We warn those who are interested in the true Lymphatic Drainage.

The Centre de Drainage Lymphatique selon Vodder is promoting and teaching the original method of Lymphatic Drainage Lymphatique according to Dr. Vodder in it's hygienic, esthetic and therapeutic applications.

It organises lectures, one day self-drainage seminars for the broad public as well as professional training for beauty and therapy applications, including a basic course and a special therapeutic applications course, currently at Lausanne, Switzerland.

It moreover collaborates with hospitals and various teaching institutions in several countries.

Tuition is given by Mrs Evelyne SELOSSE, Louvain University Physical Therapist, Dr. Vodder's authorized instructor, ex-instructor at the CREA_ISCAM at Brussels, at the Medicine Faculty of Paris XIII, at the Association Suisse des Infirmières of Geneva and at the Ecole Suisse de Droguerie, ex-Founding Member of the A.I.D.M.O.V. (Association Internationale de Drainage Lymphatique Manuel "Originalmethode" Dr. E. Vodder).

Self-Drainage Initiation day :

This 8 hours seminar consist of :

- a theoretical part comprising circulation system anatomy and physiology basics, a summarized study of the influence of the method on the blood and lymph circulation as well as an overview on the main application fields of the method;

- a practical part including the learning , for self-and family applications, of the basic movements on the main lymphnodes groups. The main professional movements are also demonstrated so that any person thus educated could get able to recognize the original method movements from numerous other techniques abusively called lymphatic drainages.

Professional training course :

The complete course is divided in two levels : the basic course and the therapy course.

- The Basic Course can be attended :

* in 2 weeks of 5 days each, 7 course hours per day, for a total of 70 hours, in English or in French

* either in 4 intensive week-ends of 2 days each, 8 3/4 course hours per day, for a total of 70 hours, in French

* either "à la carte", by group or individually, in accordance with your needs and time.

An optional basic course revision 2 days week-end , for a total of 16 course hours is organized in accordance with demand. It is especially designed to prepare the students to the basic course examination as well as to refresh the practical protocols and to update the theory for former students.

- The Therapy Course can be attended

* either in 2 weeks of 5 days each, 7 course hours per day, for a total of 70 hours, in English or in French

* either in 4 intensive week-ends of 2 days each, 8 3/4 course hours per day, for a total of 70 hours, in French.

* either "à la carte", by group or individually, in accordande with your needs and time.

THE THEORETICAL PROGRAM

The theoretical program includes the anatomy, physiology, pathology and clinic background data necessary to understand and correctly apply each section of the practical training. It is mainly based on the scientific researches of Professors Collard, Földi, Hutzschenreuter, Kubik, Mislin and Vorlander as well as on the clinical observations of Drs. Vodder, Kurz, Asdonck and Mr. Wittlinger. The course provides a synthesis of the teachings from the chief Vodder's schools in Europe as well as a critical review of the scientific reports seeking to bring confirmations to various applications of the Vodder's method.

THE PRACTICAL PROGRAM

Based on the 50 years experience of Dr. Vodder as well as on the experience of the Vodder schools in Europe, the practical program includes :

- in the Therapy Course, the training goes a level further with learning special grips for specific pathological cases such as primary and secondary lymphedemas of the limbs, lipedemas, scapulo-humeral periarthritis, coxarthrosis, nevralgies, sinusitis, etc. The application of special contention bandages is also taught as an auxiliary technique for some kinds of severe edemas.

Examinations and Certificates :

The Basic Course ends, for those who so wish, with an examination which, if successfully passed, entitles to an ability certification concerning hygienic, esthetic and many therapeutic applications.

Each Therapy Course also ends with a corresponding examination entitling to an ability certificate. The examinations can also be taken on appointment, outside of the course sessions, as many times as necessary. No supplementary price is required for the examinations. The use of the ability certificates remains subject to the laws on the art of healing in force in the practitioner's country

Particular avantages :

* The iconography and the practical protocols for the initiation day and for the basic course are included in the course fees.

* Reenrollment to an already attended initiation day is free.

* In case of later enrollment to a first professional tuition session, the fee of the already attended initiation day will be deducted from the first session fee.

* One can enroll to one or more sessions, provided one attends them in the right order.

* In case of enrollment of two persons of the same household, a 50% reduction is granted to the second person. Reductions, however, are not cumulative.

* Students from other Lymphatic Drainage schools are accepted under the same conditions as our students if they demonstrate their effective knowledge and ability by passing a preliminary theoretical and practical examination with Mrs Selosse. This examination, conducted in a pedagogic frame of mind, can by itself constitute an intellectual enlightment for the applicant. In case of failure, an evaluation of the advisable training complement is given, with an overview of the possible practical solutions. Fees : 100 Swiss Francs.
